Lisbon: The Atlantic Chapter



Why fly a team from Prague to the coast of Portugal? Because trust travels further than gear. For ModMEd's President's Club, we became hunters of memory, scaling the city to ensure no moment was lost to the wind. We arrived as vendors, but after days of surf, stone, and celebration, we left as part of the family.

1. A Lasting Impression: From Vienna to Lisbon

Our story begins with our beloved partners at IMS in Vienna, we covered a four-day program for ModMed's President's Club. Even though the client switched agencies for their next major trip, they didn't forget the quality of the work. When planning began for Lisbon much later, we received a surprise message: they didn't want a local vendor—they wanted us to fly in.

2. The "Complete Set" Mission

The program kicked off with arrivals and a Welcome Dinner, where we set up two studio stations to capture high-quality couple portraits. The goal was to have these framed and ready for the awards ceremony, but logistics are never perfect—some guests arrived a day late. Because we brought our own printer rather than relying on local vendors, we had the flexibility to adapt. We turned into "hunters" for the next 48 hours, chasing down late arrivals to capture their portraits during the activities, printing them back in the room, and ensuring no one was left out of the final gift.

3. Conquering the Hills of Lisbon

Day two was a test of physical endurance. The group engaged in a scavenger hunt across the city, utilizing everything from "wild" TukTuk rides to on-foot exploration. Lisbon is famous for its hills, and keeping up with multiple teams required serious legwork. Having three photographers allowed us to blanket the city and capture the team dynamics without missing a beat.

4. Three Worlds in One Day

The third day was the logistical peak. The group split into three completely different tracks: a cultural trip to Sintra, an adrenaline-fueled Jeep and Wine tour, and surfing lessons on the coast. Because we had a three-man team, we didn't have to rotate or compromise. We split up, embedding one photographer in each activity. Whether the clients were tasting wine or catching waves, we were there to document it simultaneously.

5. The "Invisible" Team Member

While we were running up Lisbon's hills, our workflow extended back to the Czech Republic. We had an editor stationed in Prague dedicated solely to post-production. We uploaded raw files daily, and she processed them while we focused on the next day's shoot. This parallel workflow meant we could provide fresh, polished images every single morning without the on-site team burning out behind laptops late at night.

6. The Grand Finale & Delivery

Everything culminated at the final dinner. We executed a complex group shot on a grand staircase—a high-pressure moment requiring authority and speed. Because we had spent days with the group, we knew people by name, allowing us to direct the crowd efficiently and politely. We presented a polished slideshow during the gala, and the physical prints—processed and framed earlier that day—were handed out by the CEO during the awards.

7. Next Stop: St. Lucia

The Lisbon project proved that we could handle complex logistics, physical challenges, and international travel while acting as a seamless extension of the crew. We left hoping that the relationship would continue. And it did. The client was so happy with the "family" feel and the professional results that when the time came for their next big destination, the call came to us: Saint Lucia.
